OPRAH

Not to bore you to death,

but today for lunch I had:
-an orange(not as juicy as desirable, but still fresh and prefectly shaped)
-a chicken tamale(Trader Joes)
-1/2 of a vegan, wheat free bran muffin (Sprouts Market)
-Soybeans(Trader Joes)
-String Cheese(Albertsons)

Packing a healthy lunch for oneself, is investing time in your general well being and happiness. I've always had a strange relationship with food,
but have recently embraced a normal and comfortable lifestyle,
where fueling my body with the nutrients it needs is acceptable and joyous.

Today, while I was sitting in my therapist's waiting room, I flipped through Psychology Today, then July's edition of the Oprah Magazine.

To be honest, I am not an avid follower of THE Oprah Winfrey.

However, she is obviously a very important female public figure.
Oprah Winfrey has made a social as well as political impact on our world, and her letter to her magazine readers was about her recent eating habits.

She now views food with acceptance and nurtures her body with what she chooses.

This is new for her, as she would over eat, crash diet etc.etc.etc.
For some people finding balance with eating is hard.
If someone like Oprah just figured it out, it's not as simple as you think.
If you're struggling, give yourself a break.
Oprah Winfrey freaks out about food, so you're not an alien if you do sometimes as well.
